UFOs and UAPs

Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) and Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) refer to observed aerial phenomena that cannot immediately be identified or explained. Historically, UFOs have been associated with claims of visitation by extraterrestrial life and have been subject to various interpretations and conspiracy theories. Recently, the term UAP has been preferred, especially in official contexts, to avoid the extraterrestrial connotations and stigma associated with UFOs. UAPs are of interest both to the public and to governmental and military organizations, due to their potential implications for national security and air safety. Investigations into UAPs aim to understand their nature and origin, whether earthly or otherwise. The study of these phenomena encompasses a range of disciplines, including astronomy, atmospheric physics, and aeronautics.
